3 in the morning.

6 mile loop up towards the Spectrum then over around Coach's parents' house where we took a moment to admire the beauty of their leg lamp. Felt okay. My Nikes have mucho miles on them, so I might need to invest in a new pair of running shoes pretty soon.

5 in the afternoon toward Sunriver. Good run, a little muddy from the rain but it was fun.

Went to the course and got our race bibs and stuff, then we ran through the course and did some strides. Fun course, the California weather feels great. Went to the beach afterwards. Fun day.

2 mile warm up with Josh before the race. It was a crazy race. I tried to get out the best that I could, but it was just a super crowded race. The hills wore me down a lot more than they have in the past and my arms tensed up early, which made for a not-so-great race for me. I was really hoping to finish off the season a little better, but it just wasn't in the books today. I haven't been running great lately, so I'll have to figure things out before track.

I feel like I've somehow the spark and competitive edge that I had during my region race. After state, I honestly didn't even feel like running all that much anymore. I kind of snapped out of it a little after a few days, but it hasn't been the same since. I think this break will really help though, and I will come back stronger than ever in track and do some big things. But for now, it's a much needed rest.

4 easy today. Pretty busy with holiday stuff so I kind of slacked off with the running this week which is no bueno, but I've been lifting pretty consistently over the break so that's alright.
